+ Your child is sitting to close to the TV or holding text closer to their eyes to read it.
+ Your child is claiming that their eyes are blurry or are hurting.
MYOPIA MANAGEMENT AT TIM ROEBUCK
Myopia (also commonly known as short-sightedness or near-sightedness) is a condition that causes blurred vision for objects that are further away.
Myopia usually starts developing before the age of 10, and then progresses or worsens every few to several months in children and teenagers.
It is caused by the eyes growing too quickly and too long for the normal rate of eye growth when the eyes are meant to grow steadily until the teenage years, then stabilize. Myopia does this too quickly which means faster deterioration of the child's eyes.
